Xtra detergent is manufactured by Church & Dwight Co., the same parent company that makes Arm & Hammer detergent and Oxiclean.

This product is touted mainly for the various scents it can leave behind in your laundry, and therefore comes in a wide variety of scents to choose from, along with fabric softeners, called Xtra Nice 'N Fluffy fabric softener which complement some of the scents. (It appears they used to have dryer sheets too, but these appear to have been discontinued.)

It appears the product is only available in liquid laundry detergent, and not in powdered. Further, none of the detergents are advertised as HE compatible, so I would not assume that they are.

Xtra can be purchased in many stores, especially in discount and dollar stores, but also in big box stores like Walmart and Target. It is typically a very low cost detergent, and I have not found a good cheap source for purchasing it online, but instead you can generally get the best deals on it in stores.
