Homemade Carpet Cleaner And Homemade Carpet Shampoo Recipes

As with all homemade cleaners it is best to test first in an inconspicuous area of your carpet before use throughout, to check for color fastness and to make sure it does not damage your carpet fibers.

Homemade Carpet Shampoo Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1/4 cup liquid castile soap
• 3 tablespoons warm water

Directions:

Combine the ingredients together in a mixing bowl and either hand whisk or use a mixer to mix the ingredients together to make a foam.

Rub this foam onto the stained areas of the carpet, or those with heavy traffic making the carpet especially dirty.

Let this foam rest on the carpet for half an hour, and then blot up the foam with a damp cloth.

To remove all soap residue you should then use the homemade carpet cleaner solution listed below.

Recipe 1 For Carpet Cleaning Machine

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup vinegar
• 1 gallon warm water

Directions:

Place this solution in the carpet cleaning machine and then use the manufacturer's directions for cleaning the carpet.

Recipe 2 For Carpet Cleaning Machine

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup baking soda
• 1 gallon warm water

Directions:

Place this solution in the carpet cleaning machine and then use the manufacturer's directions for cleaning the carpet.
