Our world is filled with both bacteria and viruses, and while we can peacefully co-exist, at least to some extent, there are times and places where disinfecting is very important -- especially in the kitchen and bathroom.

Some products are designed only to kill bacteria (known as anti-bacterial products) but don't think those are able to disinfect surfaces of viruses or other stink smelly things like molds and mildew.

While you can easily (or relatively easily) kill lots of nasties with commercially available products, it is much harder to find natural and eco-friendly products for the job.

Typically, you're looking for something with botanical disinfectants, or that uses the power of hydrogen peroxide to get the job done.
