Blitz Jewelry Cleaner Review: Much Better Than Cleaning With Alcohol Like I Did Before

by Tammy
(Indiana)

Tammy has shared her experience with Blitz jewelry cleaner. She used the ready to use formula, with a cleaning basket, and not the concentrated version which must be diluted.

Tammy says:

I used to clean my jewelry with just alcohol like my mother had taught me, but that never really made my jewelry as shiny as it used to be.

My friend recently let me use her Blitz Gem and Jewelry Cleaner, and it is amazing! My jewelry ended up being just as bright and clean as when I bought it.

When I clean my jewelry with alcohol I can't stand being near it because I'm so sensitive to the smell, but this product is virtually odor-free, unless you really get close to it. I just place my jewelry in the basket, shake it up, and brush it a bit.

However, the brush that it comes with is a bit shoddy, not as nice as I like it, so I use a never-been-used toothbrush. Other than that, I love the product, and it lasts me a while.

The price is great considering it's only about $6 and it lasts a long time. The only drawback is that I have to order it online.

I've used it to clean sterling silver, gold, gold plated, rhinestones, diamonds, and sapphire jewelry.

Thanks for sharing your Blitz jewelry cleaner review.

I had heard of this product before you wrote in your review, but I have never personally used it. I noted, however, after your review when I did more research that Blitz is one of the leading companies selling jewelry cleaner over the Internet. Who knew?

Please note that there are various formulas available, some for hard, nonpourous gems, some which are concentrated, and another for soft and pourous jewelry, such as pearls. Make sure you get the right one for your uses so it works properly, and does not cause damage to your precious pieces.

I would love to hear from more people who have used this product to clean their jewelry. You can share your jewelry cleaner review here for this or any other product, or read other reviews which have already been submitted.

Blitz Gem And Jewelry Cleaner Made Cloudy Spot On Diamond After Overnight Soak

by Leslie
(Los Angeles, CA, USA)

Leslie shared her experience with this jewelry cleaner.

Leslie says:

I put my diamond/platinum ring in the basket and accidentally left it there overnight. When I took it out, I noticed it said not to soak for more than 3 minutes.

I was dismayed to notice a cloudy spot on top of my diamond and I haven't been able to remove it.

The Blitz people told me that several of their employees have done this with no ill results, but I don't know why I am having this problem.

I took it to a jeweler to have it cleaned, but it came out the same. Can anyone offer any suggestions or tell me if I've done any permanent damage?

Taylor says:

I'm so sorry to hear your problem with your diamond after using Blitz jewelry cleaner.

I, unfortunately, don't have much great advice for you. With anything this valuable I always suggest you take it to an professional, such as a jeweler, to discuss the problem.

I know that you already took it to be cleaned, but perhaps you could talk to someone else about restoration, to hopefully help fix the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please share your experience here, or you can read other jewelry cleaner reviews that have already been submitted.

In addition, if anyone has any suggestions for Leslie please share them in the comments!
