How To Clean Suede Jacket Stain

The video below gives tips for how to clean suede jacket stains, giving several alternative suggestions.

The video suggests the following steps for cleaning suede stains, such as in your suede clothing.

First, rub the area with a soft towel to see if this removes the stain.

Next, if that does not work brush the stain with a suede brush. You can buy a suede brush quite cheaply off the Internet if you don't have one. (If you wear suede anything invest in one!)

Next, the video suggests spraying a cloth with a suede cleaner and rubbing this on the stain. The video made no suggestions, so I did some research and frankly couldn't find a recommended suede cleaner. Please tell me in the comments which one you suggest if you know of a good one.

After letting this air dry if the stain remains you can blot at the stain with a solution of 1 part water and 1 part distilled white vinegar.

If that does not work, and it is a small spot or stain you can try a suede eraser on the dry suede.

A suede eraser is basically a piece of rubber that you rub on the suede to help clean it. The video suggests using a pencil eraser if you don't have a suede eraser.

Many of the suede brush kits I saw online, however, contained both a brush and an eraser. You can buy both a suede brush and suede eraser here.

Finally, if none of these methods work to clean your suede jacket stain, the video suggests taking it to a professional cleaner.
