Knowing how to clean a blender quickly and easily is one of the biggest secrets that should be shared with everyone who loves to cook or make frozen drinks with their blender.

It is really quite simple.

All you need to do is after using the blender fill it about half full with water and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and a drop of dishwashing liquid.

Then, run it for a couple of seconds letting this mixture swirl around your blender, cleaning it effortlessly.

The soap cleans, and the natural abrasiveness of the baking soda just really cleans up those blades!

All you need to do then is rinse it out, and you have a clean blender. Cool, huh? Tell this well kept secret to everyone you know!

So, do you have any other cool ways you use baking soda around your home? If so, submit your baking soda uses here, or read other uses already submitted by others.

In addition, you can read all the uses for baking soda I have gathered up on this site.

Finally, I've gathered up quite a few tips for cleaning appliances here so check even more of them out, or share your own!

I quit taking mine apart....I ruined one that way. I keep it together and put it in the dishwasher.

I take mine apart
by: Samantha

I always took mine apart to clean it. It seems more sanitary that way. Mine always got some sort of liquid in it. So I just switched to using the ninja and it works way better, faster, and more efficiently.

thanks!

Wow ~ so obvious ~ why haven't I thought of doing this ~ thanks

Stains inside blender
by: Anonymous

The blender container is plastic, and I’m always making chocolate protein shakes. The chocolate is staining the plastic. Any ideas what will take the stains out?
