Toilet Scrubber Square Works Wonders On Hard Water Stains

by Dave
(Pahrump, NV)

Dave shared a review of a toilet scrubber that he's been using for years to clean his toilet. The item pictured above is not exactly what Dave told me about, but it was about as close as I could find. Here's his review:

Dave says:

I used to buy a nylon mesh square, about 3" square, that was impregnated with granules (maybe pumice), that worked wonders on hard water stains in toilets. I can't remember what they were called.

They were folded into 1 1/2" squares and hung with the cleaning supplies in grocery stores.

It has been 8 or more years since I've seen them. They were very cheap.

I'm still using one, but it's almost dead. Even so, it still out cleans anything.

Taylor says:

Thanks Dave for sharing this toilet scrubber review.

I'd love to know more about this product, so I can research if they're still available, so if anyone has more details about them, or remembers their name, be sure to share your information with me here.

In the mean time, I tried to find any similar products, and I came across a couple of varieties of these scrubbers, on a stick, that seem like they may be similar (see below). I like the stick since it takes some of the ick factor out of having to reach your hand into the bowl to clean it.

Plus, these seem like they would contact more surface of your toilet bowl than a brush, and could more easily scrub.

I'd love to hear from others also who've used one of these products, to say how it has worked for you, good or bad. You can share your reviews of toilet brushes here, or read other reviews already submitted.
