Flylady Tool Review: Her Mop Is My Family's Favorite
(Sarnia, ON, Canada)
Marla shared her review of the Flylady Mop, which uses reusable microfiber cloths for either damp mopping, or as a dry dust mop.
This is my family's favorite mop!
We've had quite a few different types over the years and they all disappointed us for one reason or another, but this one is a keeper.
The handle is very sturdy, as is the head, and the surface area makes it great for larger jobs.
(I've even used it to clean my windows. There's a YouTube video showing how to do this).
The mop comes with only one cloth, but I bought a package of microfiber cloths at Costco, and sewed the rectangular refills from other mops we had had into the center of them, and they work great.
The mop is easy to manouever and far more sturdy than any of its competitors that we have tried. Highly recommended.
Thanks so much for sharing your review of this product Marla.
It appears this product is trying to address a need many people have to find a better and cheaper way for quick clean ups than using a Swiffer Sweeper since with a Swiffer you have to keep using their refill pads (which can get quite expensive quite fast).
In fact, lots of companies have realized that using a Swiffer is very expensive, so there are many varieties of these mops with reusable pads. I would love to hear from others who've used any of them sharing how they liked them, good or bad.
As far as I know you can only purchase the Flylady mops directly from the Flylady store. I did notice they have a mop pack which contains additional microfiber cloths, although the pack seems quite pricey at over $40, while the actual mop itself is a bit over $20.
Has anyone else used this product? If so, I'd love to hear from you. You can share your mop reviews here for this or any other brand, or read other reviews that have already been submitted.
I hope you enjoy this gift, and stop by again soon!
