Here is a review of Tide Stain Release In Wash Booster Pacs from a reader.
Mrs. Akshata Fatnani says:
I got a really good deal on Tide Stain Release when Target put it on sale and I had a couple of coupons for it.
My daughters always ruin their clothing by spilling because they are so little, and I feel like they are destroying their clothing faster than I can replace them. It costs me a lot of money on kids clothes, so if I can preserve them then I will.
It was a ten pack of the Tide stain remover pacs, with the sale price and the coupons I was spending $0.49 cents, which was a heck of a deal.
They are really simple to use, just throw one of the packets into your laundry as the water is filling up.
It works with your detergent to release the stains, so you need to use laundry detergent as well, which is something I didn’t know when I first bought them.
They seem to do a pretty good job and taking care of some stains, though my daughters have some that just wouldn’t go away, but they had been there for quite some time I believe.
I don’t know if I would purchase this type of item if I didn’t get such a good deal, but for the price I paid I think it is well worth it. It has helped my kids clothing last a lot longer, and for the price I paid it makes it well worth the investment.
If you are looking for a good stain release product that you do not have to do any pretreating with, I highly recommend it.
Taylor says:
Thanks for your review of the Tide Stain Release pacs. It is nice to use a product where you don't have to spray each stain individually before dumping everything in the washing machine, because I know I sometimes miss a stain or two that way.
Has anyone else used these products? I actually have received some from Procter & Gamble to test, but have not done so yet. Do they dissolve easily? I guess I am concerned about that, although I have not tried them yet myself.
***Update: Please note that this product has now changed its name to Tide Boost, and all additional reviews received will use this updated name. ***End Update
Andrea Polk shared her before and after pictures of her dog bedding cover, which was very stained with dirt.
She used these pacs to try to remove the stain and she wasn't too impressed with its stain fighting prowess, as you might be able to tell from the after picture.
To wash the item she used both Tide detergent, of course this stain remover pac, and hot water.
Please note that this product is now called Tide Boost, and I'll be adding more reviews of this product under the new name from now on.
Carol shared how she recently removed a lipstick stain from her shirt, following my advice for lipstick stain removal, which first suggests using a laundry prewash stain remover.
Carol says:
A brand new shirt, I thought was ruined with lipstick. I had to find a remedy, and I just happened to have the Tide Stain Release at home, and it worked within minutes.
I poured a bit on the lipstick mark, waited only a minute, and pushed it around and over the lipstick, and it was gone within a couple minutes!
Thanks for the tip!!!
Taylor says:
Yay Carol! I'm so happy to hear that my advice worked, and also to hear an exact recommendation for a product to use.
