Stain removal of nail polish can be difficult, because nail polish is basically paint.

One of the easiest ways to remove nail polish stain is with acetone, the main (and sometimes only) ingredient in nail polish remover.

In fact, using acetone is the method that Stain-Removal-101.com advises using for nail polish stain removal.

However, before you use acetone you must make sure that the fabric or carpet you are trying to remove nail polish stains from is color fast, because acetone can remove color along with the nail polish.
