Shoe Polish Stain Removal From Carpet

Shoe polish stain removal from carpet can be a tedious process.

The video below is pretty long (about 6 minutes) but it really demonstrates the blotting (or as he calls it "dabbing") technique for removing the shoe polish from the carpeting.

I think it is interesting that he dabs at the shoe polish stain very methodically with the solvent solution, working row by row on the carpet fibers.

Further, he gives some additional good tips for shoe polish stain removal from carpet including the following:

Apply the solvent to your white towel or cloth, not directly to the carpet itself, because too much solvent will eventually dissolve the backing of your carpet.

After getting rid of the shoe polish you should get rid of as much of the solvent in the carpet as possible so it doesn't eat away at your carpet's backing, so he then blots the area he treated with a detergent solution.
