Below is a video explaining a way to remove dirt stains from clothes using either a solution of laundry detergent and water (which was suggested by Stain-Removal-101.com for how to remove dirt stains), or in the alternative, to use a solution of ammonia and water.

For either method they suggest presoaking the clothing prior to washing it.

The ratio for the solutions is as follows:

Liquid laundry detergent solution: 1 cup water + 1 tablespoon liquid laundry detergent (I suggest one with enzymes, although the video does not mention this)

Ammonia solution: 1 cup water + 1 tablespoon of ammonia (I suggest the non-scented, non-sudsing kind, although the video does not mention this either)

Please note that if you also have grass stains on your clothing, you should follow the instructions for how to remove grass stains, which will most likely also remove the dirt stain at the same time.
