Plink Disposal Cleaner Review: Lemon Scented Version

by Felicia
(New Mexico)

Felicia has shared her Plink disposal cleaner review.

Felicia says:

I was washing dishes one evening when I noticed a terrible odor coming from the bottom of the sink. I scrubbed the sink with a cleaning powder but the odor was still there. Then I realized the true culprit: my garbage disposal. I tried to run the garbage disposal while running hot water but nothing worked to eliminate the smell.

On my next grocery shopping trip I did a quick search of the household cleaner aisle and found a garbage disposal cleaning product called Plink which came in orange and lemon scents. I chose the lemon scented version and headed to the checkout.

Once home I was excited to try the new product. I turned on the water and garbage disposal and dropped in a Plink ball. I am happy to report that the smell is gone.

I now use Plink to clean my garbage disposal approximately once a week, and no additional smells have developed. As they say, I now like to "Plink My Sink!"

Taylor says:

Thanks so much Felicia for sharing your review of this product.

I know garbage disposals can develop some strong smells with time if they aren't regularly cleaned, and because you can't put your hand down there to clean up it can be difficult to remove the odor.

I would love to hear from more people who have used this product to share how it has worked for them. I know it comes in many different scents too -- including not only lemon and orange as Felicia mentioned, but also lavender. You can share your reviews of this product here, good or bad.

In addition, you can also share your smelly garbage disposal remedies here, telling me what product from the store, or that you make yourself, helps you get rid of odors in your garbage disposal. (You can also read other tips and ideas which have already been submitted.)

I Plink My Sink Every Couple Of Weeks To Reduce Odors

by Carla
(Maine)

Carla has also shared her review and experiences with Plink disposal cleaner.

Carla says:

We used to get a smell from my sink. Initially we weren't sure from where, but then we realized it may be coming from inside the sink due to the left over food particles.

I searched for a product to clean down inside the garbage disposal and came across Plink. It's really a great product. As soon as we dropped one ball into the sink and switched on the disposal along with water, it released a nice scent from the sink which seemed to take away the bad odor.

I am still going through my packet of lemon scented Plink balls, since I just use one every couple of weeks, but when I run out I think I'm going to try the orange ones next.

Taylor says:

Thanks for sharing your review Carla.

So, I would love to hear from even more people who have used this, or any other garbage disposal cleaner, to tell me what you liked, or didn't, about it and why. You can share your review here.

***Update: I've now tried this product as well, but under the brand name Disposer Care Freshener Capsules, so you can click the link to read my review and see how it stacked up to Plink! ***End Update
