Melaleuca EcoSense Diamond Brite Dishwasher Detergent Gel Review

by Christel
(Southern California)

Christel has shared her Melaleuca EcoSense Diamond Brite dishwasher detergent gel review.

Christel says:

I have started using this detergent and have been extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of my dishes and the fact that there are no spots on the glasses.

I was surprised that California is not one of the states that have banned the high phosphate dishwasher detergents (I believe 16 states have), but have found that this detergent works better than the Cascade that I've been using for years.

It is phosphate free and bleach free. In addition to that it is concentrated so there is less waste in the bottle itself.

Thanks Christel for sharing your Melaleuca EcoSense Diamond Brite dishwasher detergent gel review.

I'm not sure if you know or not, but since so many states have banned the use of phosphates in dishwasher detergent the result is that most of the major brands have now reformulated their detergents to be phosphate free even in states where the ban is not in place. The reason was that it was impractical to have one formula shipped to one state while another state had a different formula so the ban, although not complete, effectively banned these detergents in all states and most detergents you now find on shelves, even in California or other states with no ban, are now phosphate free.

You're the first person to share a review of any of the Ecosense brand of green cleaning supplies with me. ***Update - I've now gotten some more reviews, see below for links if you're interested.***

I would love to hear reviews of more of these products from others who have used them, telling me what you thought about them, and why. You can share your Earth friendly cleaning products review here for any of these products.

In addition, you can read additional dishwasher detergents reviews here, or submit one of your own, if you're trying to find a good one for your family's use.

Taylor,

Thank you for that information. It is great news that most of the detergents out there are now phosphate-free. I have used many of Melaleuca's cleaning products, I will come back to add more reviews later.
