Dritz Hot Iron Cleaner Review - Keeps My Iron From Leaving Spots On Clothes

by Delores
(Warwick, RI)

Delores has shared her Dritz hot iron cleaner review.

Delores says:

I have used my Black & Decker F67E iron for about 6 months now, but I didn't clean it at all the first 2 months. Now I clean it about once a month, with Dritz Iron Off Hot Iron Cleaner, in the one ounce tube.

The first time I used the Dritz iron cleaner I wasn't really expecting it to do very much.

I use my iron heavily for quite a few purposes. I like my family's clothing to be well-pressed.

I used to send the laundry out, but my husband's sensitive skin started reacting to chemicals the launderer uses.

After a while the build up on my iron started leaving strange spots all over the clothes. This is my first iron, so I wasn't sure what to use to clean it. A friend told me to try Dritz, and I'm very satisfied with it.

I didn’t know how much of a difference it would make, but it really cleaned the gunk off! I don’t have anything to compare it to, as I said this is my first iron and my first use of iron cleaner.

After I cleaned it, the plate looked shiny and new. My iron never leaves spots on the clothes as long as I clean it at least once a month with this product.

Dritz Iron Cleaner Saves Me Time And Aggravation By Keeping Burn Marks Off My Clothing

by Anna
(GA)

Anna has shared her Dritz iron cleaner review.

Anna says:

I use Dritz to clean my iron on a regular basis.

I have a Black and Decker Digital Iron, and I use my iron at least three times a week.

Sometimes there is residue from either detergent or from my daughters playing in their clothing, which then builds up on the iron and as it burns it leaves brown burn marks on other clothing.

I use the Dritz cleaner to remove the residue and keep other clothing from becoming ruined.

I prefer to do this, because these brown burned residue stains do not wash out easily and can make getting ready a long process.

The Dritz hot iron cleaner works quickly and does not have a strong odor. I try to use it when I notice a burning smell when I am ironing, for sure. However, I really try to use it about once every two or three months, because this keeps the clothes from getting ruined by preemptively keeping the iron clean and free of residue.

This product is on the expensive side, but does save time and aggravation when it comes to ironing clothes when you are already running late in the mornings. Then, there is no worrying about having to find another outfit for a family member because the iron has left stains on the garment.

Dritz Iron Off Hot Iron Cleaner Review And How I Use It To Clean My Iron

by Ellen
(Cleveland)

Ellen has shared her Dritz Iron Off Hot Iron Cleaner review.

Ellen says:

I use a Black and Decker Steam Advantage iron, and I use this iron cleaner approximately every 2 weeks to keep my iron free of residue.

Like anyone who uses an iron to touch up their clothes they know that keeping your iron clean is essential for a nice crisp clean result.

I personally use Dritz iron cleaner on a regular basis to keep my iron clean and avoid those nasty brown marks from dried starch and buildup getting on my clothes.

I like this product because it removes dirt easily from the soleplate and is non-abrasive.

I simply apply the cleaner, heat the iron up according to the directions and run my iron over a towel a few times. All the gunk stuck to the bottom of my iron begins to dissolve and any remnants transfer to the towel.

This is, in my opinion, a great product that you can either order on line or pick up at your local fabric store.

Taylor says:

Thanks Ellen for sharing your review of Dritz Hot Iron Cleaner.

I generally try to provide an online link to a place to purchase products when someone reviews them, and I have done that in this case also (see below). However, it appears this product is sold only through Amazon third party sellers, and they charge a lot for shipping. (Always check this before purchasing products on Amazon or other online stores!)

It is good to know you can check around fabric stores in town to see if you can buy it more cheaply, especially if you don't have to pay shipping!
